Ho Chi Minh City’s skyline dazzles at night, illuminated by the towering skyscrapers of its central business district. Many of these buildings house leading enterprises, including top-tier office spaces and five-star hotels, contributing billions of dollars to the local economy.

Landmark 81, Vietnam’s tallest building, stands as a beacon in the night sky. Managed by Vingroup, the conglomerate is Vietnam’s largest private taxpayer, contributing over VND 56.2 trillion (nearly 40% of the top 10 enterprises’ total tax payments). Vingroup also employs approximately 200,000 people nationwide.

Vietcombank’s headquarters dominates the financial district with its impressive height. As Vietnam’s top tax-paying bank in 2024, it contributed over VND 8 trillion. With a workforce of 24,000 employees, Vietcombank boasts an average monthly income of VND 42 million per employee.

VPBank’s headquarters is instantly recognizable by its distinctive blue lighting in the city center. As one of Vietnam’s leading private banks, VPBank holds total assets of nearly VND 924 trillion and reported a pre-tax profit of over VND 20 trillion in 2024. With a network of 80 branches and 207 transaction offices, VPBank employs over 27,000 staff and paid VND 3.6 trillion in taxes in 2024.

Viettel Complex stands out with its modern architecture and synchronized lighting along a major thoroughfare. In 2024, Viettel reported consolidated revenue of approximately VND 190 trillion and pre-tax profit of VND 51 trillion. As one of Vietnam’s largest state-owned enterprises, it contributed VND 4.6 trillion to the national budget.

Nam A Bank’s headquarters is distinguished by the national flag. With over 5,000 employees, the bank is advancing its retail banking, digital banking, and green finance strategies, steadily improving its profitability year after year.

Beyond corporate headquarters, five-star hotels also illuminate Ho Chi Minh City’s night sky. The Hilton Hotel, located at Bach Dang Wharf, is the city’s first Hilton-branded property. Opened in 2024 with 228 rooms and a 1,000 m² conference center, it has quickly become a premier venue for events and conferences.

Saigon Square Hotel, located on Nguyen Hue pedestrian street, shines brightly at night. Its prime location ensures consistent occupancy, attracting both business travelers and shoppers to the city’s commercial and financial hub in Saigon Ward.

Mê Linh Point’s office complex stands out with its symmetrical design and lighting at the Me Linh roundabout. Its high occupancy rate is attributed to its riverside location and proximity to the Me Linh financial district. However, it faces increasing competition from newer Grade A office buildings.

Saigon Marina IFC captivates with its nightly display of the Vietnamese flag along its facade, becoming a new landmark in the city center. This 55-story tower, the third tallest in Ho Chi Minh City, was inaugurated in August.

The lights from these corporate headquarters not only beautify Ho Chi Minh City at night but also symbolize their economic contributions. Each illuminated skyscraper represents a powerhouse of job creation, tax revenue, and economic vitality, showcasing the strength of both private and state-owned sectors.
