As reported by VTC News, the An Phú Interchange project in Ho Chi Minh City entered its accelerated phase in early December. Multiple construction sites are bustling with activity, with fresh concrete being poured and steel beams extending meter by meter, gradually shaping this vital interchange.

The N2 bridge section under package XL11 has successfully connected its structure, forming a complete axis linking the Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thành Expressway to Mai Chí Thọ Avenue. This milestone allows the contractor to proceed with finishing touches.

This section has surpassed 60% completion, with simultaneous construction at three sites. The contractor aims to complete and open the N2 bridge for technical traffic by December 31, 2025.

Workers are busy constructing the An Phú Interchange in early December 2025.

Along Mai Chí Thọ Avenue, the HC1-02 underpass (package XL6) construction site has expanded, with the basic structure nearly complete. The tunnel sections are clearly visible, and work is shifting to technical finishing.

The 760-meter tunnel, designed for four lanes of two-way traffic, is over 75% complete. It is scheduled for completion and operation by January 15, 2026.

At the Đồng Văn Cống connection, the N3 and N4 bridge piers are being completed in segments, paving the way for beam installation in the coming months.

On Mai Chí Thọ Avenue, the N1.1 and N1.3 bridges for left turns onto the expressway are under simultaneous construction, further defining the project’s overall structure.

These sections are expected to be completed by June 30, 2026, aiming to alleviate traffic congestion on routes to Cát Lái Port and eastern urban areas while enhancing regional connectivity.

The An Phú Interchange is a major project with a total investment of approximately 3.4 trillion VND, commencing in 2022.

The project includes overpasses, underpasses, and ramps, directly connecting the Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thành – Dầu Giây Expressway with Mai Chí Thọ Avenue and Đồng Văn Cống Street.

Located at Ho Chi Minh City’s eastern gateway, the An Phú Interchange connects the Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thành – Dầu Giây Expressway and Long Thành Airport. Its completion is crucial for improving traffic flow and reducing congestion in this critical area.
