A mansion on the outskirts of Atlanta, Georgia, has hit the market for a staggering $35 million, making it the most expensive residential property in the region. This architectural marvel is a replica of the White House, meticulously designed as a private residence rather than a seat of power.
This record-breaking price tag is turning heads among investors, as ultra-luxury real estate in the U.S. often serves as a barometer for the demand for iconic and rare properties.

A Dream Inspired by the White House
Located in Oak Grove, the estate was completed in 2001 by developer Fred Milani. To ensure an accurate replica, Milani sent designers to Washington D.C. to study the White House’s architectural details. The result is a majestic 16,000-square-foot main house that evokes the grandeur of America’s most famous residence.
Inside, the owner is greeted by a distinctly presidential ambiance, featuring an Oval Office-style study, a Lincoln Bedroom-inspired guest suite, and multiple neoclassical reception halls.

The Journey of a Vietnamese-American Visionary
The property’s owner, Thúy Ái Kathy Lam, is a Vietnamese-American entrepreneur who arrived in the U.S. in 1995 with virtually nothing. Within nine months, she opened her first nail salon with a loan. Since then, she has built a nationwide network of beauty salons and vocational schools, including the Atlanta Beauty & Barber Academy.
Lam and her ex-husband purchased the home in 2013. For her, the mansion symbolizes the pursuit of the American Dream and holds cherished family memories. With her children now in college, Lam has decided to downsize to a smaller home in the area. She admits she’ll miss this place dearly and hopes the new owner will cherish it as much as she has.
Why the $35 Million Price Tag?
The nearly 7-acre estate includes a 6-bedroom main house, 11 bathrooms, and a 7-bedroom guesthouse—dubbed the “West Wing”—creating two independent living spaces within one compound.
Inside, the grand foyer impresses with a mural-adorned ceiling, a sweeping staircase, and a custom chandelier, all accessible via a discreetly integrated elevator. Outdoors, meticulously landscaped gardens, a large swimming pool, jacuzzi, and a fully equipped pool house with an outdoor kitchen complete the luxurious setting.

For the next owner, this is a rare opportunity to acquire one of Atlanta’s most unique properties. If sold at the asking price, it would shatter the previous record for the most expensive home in the Atlanta area, which stands at approximately $18 million.
