Over 61 Million Land Plots Synchronized After Data Cleansing Campaign

This information was announced at the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment’s regular press conference on December 4. Mr. Mai Văn Phấn, Deputy Director of the Land Management Department (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment), stated that the “90-Day Land Data Cleansing Campaign” under Plan 515, jointly implemented by the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment (from September 1 to November 30, 2025), concluded on November 30.

The campaign aimed to enrich and cleanse data for 49.7 million land plots. However, by the end of the campaign, local land databases had synchronized 61 million plots with the central system. Additionally, 567,000 condominium units have been integrated into the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment’s system and are being synchronized with the National Population Database.

Of this data, 23.5 million land plots and over 500,000 condominium units have been enriched and cleansed, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Regarding user information collection, 37.6 million land plots in the management records still require further review and cleansing. “These figures have been verified by the Ministry of Public Security for user information and citizen identification for the third time, and the ministry continues to direct localities to implement this,” said Mr. Phấn.

For the next steps, Mr. Phấn emphasized that data cleansing is not just about collecting enough data but ensuring its continuous operation for exploitation. “Data must be accurate, complete, clean, and active, and must be put into operation and exploitation,” he stressed, affirming that the Land Management Department will continue to ensure accuracy and completeness for the remaining collected data.

Additionally, for areas not covered by Plan 515, Mr. Phấn stated that the Land Management Department has reported to the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, proposing a project for implementation in 2026.

Highlighting the success of the “90-Day Land Data Cleansing Campaign,” Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Phùng Đức Tiến affirmed: “This result is of great value, serving as a foundation for activities related to socio-economic development and national defense and security. We are confident in achieving a comprehensive land database. This is a significant resource,” said Mr. Tiến.

According to the campaign’s plan, authorities will verify land user and property owner information based on existing data with the National Population Database. They will also review, update, rectify, and supplement missing information for land plots, as well as ID card details of land users and property owners in the land database.

The plan also requires localities to collect copies or scans of land use and property ownership certificates, along with ID cards of land users and property owners.

Based on this, the land databases of 34 provinces and cities will be synchronized, centralized, and unified into the National Land Database at the central level, and connected with the National Population Database, ministries, sectors, localities, Party agencies, the National Assembly, the Government, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the People’s Court, the People’s Procuracy, and socio-political organizations.
