Expanding K-food Collaboration Based on the Memorandum of Understanding – Introducing Premium Korean Grapes in In-Flight Meals

In June, aT Center and Vietnam Airlines signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote Korean food in Vietnam. Since then, both parties have continuously expanded their collaborative efforts to enhance K-food’s visibility in the market.

As part of this partnership, Vietnam Airlines served Shine Muscat grapes and the new ‘Glorystar’ grape variety from Korea as desserts for business class passengers on international flights between Vietnam and Korea, Vietnam and Europe, and Vietnam and the U.S. throughout November. Offering these two grape varieties allows passengers to directly experience the unique flavors and quality of Korean grapes.

Glorystar is a newly developed red grape variety from Korea, distinguished by its vibrant red color, unique aroma, and texture that sets it apart from conventional grape varieties.

Additionally, Vietnam Airlines expanded its promotional efforts on long-haul international routes by broadcasting videos introducing Korean grapes on personal in-flight screens, enabling international passengers to engage with K-food in a natural and engaging manner.

A representative from Vietnam Airlines stated, “Vietnam Airlines is committed to delivering diverse and high-quality culinary experiences to our passengers. Our collaboration with aT Center has significantly enhanced the global recognition of K-food while reinforcing Vietnam Airlines’ premium brand value.”

As of November 2025, Korea’s grape exports to Vietnam reached USD 4.7 million, making Vietnam the fourth-largest export market after Taiwan, the U.S., and Hong Kong.
