In early December, FLC Group hosted a meeting in Hanoi with the Arab Business Council. The Arab delegation was led by Mr. Bassam Tabajah, Chairman of the Council, with MHGroup serving as the strategic connector.

During the meeting, Mr. Bassam Tabajah highlighted Vietnam as a particularly attractive market for Middle Eastern capital. He attributed this to Vietnam’s unique natural advantages, extensive coastal land, and potential to develop world-class destinations. He noted that the rapid growth of Vietnam’s tourism infrastructure in recent years has positioned the country as a new investment partner for Arab financial funds.

FLC Group showcased its large-scale tourism and hospitality complexes, including FLC Quy Nhon, FLC Ha Long, and FLC Quang Tri. These projects feature vast land areas, strategic coastal locations, and multi-utility models encompassing hotels, villas, golf courses, convention centers, and entertainment systems. These developments not only boost local tourism but also deliver long-term economic value through sustainable exploitation.

Mrs. Huong Tran Kieu Dung, Vice Chairwoman of FLC Group, emphasized, “International cooperation is a cornerstone of FLC’s new development phase. We highly value the opportunity to connect with the Arab business community, known for its substantial financial resources, long-term investment mindset, and extensive global experience. FLC is committed to partnering with transparency, sustainability, and mutual value creation in the Vietnamese market.”

Following the meeting, the parties plan to conduct site visits in Quy Nhon, Quang Tri, and Ha Long to assess specific investment opportunities.

Experts suggest that if the partnership materializes, Middle Eastern capital could significantly boost Vietnam’s hospitality and tourism sector. This could lead to the creation of international-standard destinations akin to Dubai or Abu Dhabi. Beyond financial resources and infrastructure development, this collaboration could transform how Vietnam attracts international tourists, targeting high-spending luxury segments.

In the “Fraud and Stock Market Manipulation” case involving FLC Group, the August 2024 first-instance trial sentenced Mrs. Huong Tran Kieu Dung to 8 years and 6 months in prison.

By June 2025, the appellate trial reduced her sentence to 3 years and 6 months, along with a 2 billion VND fine.
