Discussing compensation, land clearance, and resettlement plans for residents affected by the Tran Hung Dao Bridge project, Le Hong Thang, Chairman of the Hong Ha Ward People’s Committee, stated that by February 15, 2026, the committee will complete land origin verification, household registration, and publicly announce the resettlement plan for 10 days. Following this period, the committee will engage in dialogue with residents to address any remaining concerns.
As a key project, Hanoi has allocated over 200 hectares of land in Thu Lam Commune for those impacted by the construction of Tu Lien, Ngoc Hoi, and Tran Hung Dao Bridges. Seven land plots have completed clearance, with infrastructure in some areas ready for handover to projects.
“Many residents affected by the Tu Lien Bridge clearance have visited the resettlement sites. Details on technical infrastructure, transportation, and distances to local amenities like the commune office, market, and schools have been fully communicated,” shared Mr. Thang.

The Chairman emphasized that the Tran Hung Dao Bridge project is pivotal for Hanoi’s infrastructure and urban development, particularly for Hong Ha Ward. To ensure timely and effective implementation, the committee seeks residents’ cooperation and support. Authorities pledge to fully and promptly enforce policies, safeguarding residents’ legal rights and interests.
The project, slated for 2025-2027, includes a 6-9 month land clearance plan. Hanoi’s People’s Committee has directed accelerated clearance efforts, with the ward committee maximizing efficiency while adhering to regulations.

Compensation will follow a 1:1 land value ratio based on Hanoi’s 2026 land price table. Key projects may receive double compensation. Hong Ha Ward is advocating for specific rates from city departments. “We hope residents receive double compensation,” said Mr. Thang.

A new initiative for this project allows eligible residents to receive building permits upon land handover. Those qualifying for land titles or adjustments will receive updated documents without additional procedures.
Mr. Thang noted that the ward has collaborated with neighborhood representatives and provided all documents via QR codes for accessibility. Dedicated officials for each area are also available for resident inquiries.
