According to sales consultants, the Kia Carnival in Vietnam has some changes in version and price. Accordingly, there will be two new versions: Luxury 7-seater and Signature 7-seater without sunroof, with prices of 1.169 billion VND and 1.349 billion VND respectively. As for the Premium 7-seater version, the price has been reduced by 20 million VND, from 1.329 billion VND to 1.309 billion VND.
Kia Carnival adds 2 new versions in Vietnam.
Previously, the Luxury 8-seater version was considered the standard version (1.179 billion VND), and now that position belongs to the Luxury 7-seater version (1.169 billion VND). Both versions are similar in terms of equipment and features.
As the name suggests, the Signature 7-seater version without sunroof is only different from the regular Signature 7-seater version by the absence of a sunroof, with a lower price of 40 million VND.
The Kia Carnival currently does not have a direct competitor in Vietnam, but it is facing strong competition from the Hyundai Custin with prices ranging from 850 to 999 million VND. At a higher price range, there is the Volkswagen Viloran with a starting price of 1.989 billion VND. The addition of new versions and the 40 million VND price reduction earlier this year show that Kia Carnival aims to improve its competitiveness.
At the end of last year, the Carnival was being chased by the Custin in terms of sales. For example, in November 2023, Carnival’s sales were 550 units, while Custin’s sales were 529 units. Hyundai’s new model was launched in mid-September 2023.
The Kia Carnival has 2 options: gasoline and diesel. Among them, the diesel version dominates. This is a difference compared to the Custin, as Hyundai’s model has 2 engine options, both of which are gasoline engines. Viloran is also equipped with gasoline engines for both versions.
The Kia Carnival is equipped with many modern features. On the outside, there is a full LED lighting system. Inside the car, there are two 12.3-inch screens, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, 3-zone automatic air conditioning, 12-speaker Bose sound system, 2 large sunroofs… The high-end version of the Carnival also features advanced driving assistance systems (ADAS), 360-degree camera, front/rear collision sensors.
In South Korea, the Kia Carnival has received a new facelift with slight changes to the exterior lights and in-car screens. This updated version is likely to be launched in Vietnam soon as this minivan continues to achieve good sales for Kia.
