Over the past eight decades, Vietnam has witnessed remarkable progress, consistently achieving economic growth across the 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, 2010s, and into the 2020s. This impressive trajectory has caught the attention of Clement Ngu, a UK-based reporter for Nikkei Asia, who acknowledges the country's relentless advancement over this period.

"During the week of August 11–15, 2025, selling pressure from investment funds intensified as the VN-Index rallied for four consecutive sessions, breaching the psychological threshold of 1,600 points and approaching the 1,660 zone. However, the index faced corrective pressures during the week's final trading session."

The VN-Index's impressive nine-session winning streak came to a halt on August 15, as the index fell by 10 points to close at 1,630. Despite this setback, the VN-Index has been on a remarkable climb, surging from 1,495 to successively breach the 1,500 and 1,600 marks.
