Hanoi has halted its study on diverting water from the Red River to replenish the To Lich River via the Vo Chi Cong route. The new project will instead channel water from the Thuy Phuong pumping station to Pham Van Dong (through the existing Thuy Phuong canal), the Tay Ho Tay urban area, Ring Road 2.5, Hoang Quoc Viet Street, and finally into the To Lich River, spanning approximately 7 kilometers.
