The year 2025 marked one of the most devastating periods of natural disasters in Vietnam’s history, with unprecedented records in heavy rainfall, powerful storms, and widespread flooding being shattered one after another.

At the meeting on the afternoon of December 5th, Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính directed the completion of the Master Plan for Preventing Land Subsidence, Landslides, Drought, and Salinization in the Mekong Delta. The plan is to be comprehensive, aligned with natural conditions ("thuận thiên"), and will strongly mobilize non-budget resources.

The Ministry of Finance has reported significant progress in managing over 17,000 surplus land and property assets, ensuring optimal utilization of public resources following the reorganization of administrative units and agencies.
