According to the State Bank of Vietnam’s Branch in Region 2, remittances transferred through credit institutions and economic organizations in Ho Chi Minh City reached USD 7.969 billion in the first nine months of 2025, marking a 6.25% increase compared to the same period last year.

Investors have pledged to launch the $4.3 billion flood prevention project in Ho Chi Minh City by December 2026 at the latest, provided all obstacles are resolved by October. However, if procedural delays persist, the completion timeline will be extended accordingly.

The project is slated for completion of construction and investment, with operations commencing in Q4 2027.
