Chicilon Media Helps Underprivileged Students Return Home for Tet

During the days leading up to Tet, everyone becomes busy and rushed. Some go shopping, others return to their hometowns. However, among them, there are many students who come to the city to study and still cannot go home to celebrate Tet because they cannot afford a bus ticket.

Empathizing with that situation, on January 30 and 31, Chicilon Media launched the charity program “Tickets of Love”, helping 150 students from two universities, University of Commerce and Hanoi University of Pharmacy, to buy tickets, allowing them the opportunity to reunite with their families during this year’s Lunar New Year.

Since 2015, when Chicilon Media first organized the “Spring Journey” activity until now, after 8 years, the company has helped more than 3,000 students from universities in the North and South who have difficult circumstances to return to their hometowns during the Tet holiday. Each ticket is a sharing, each trip is a love. And Chicilon Media wants to convey all these messages through this meaningful activity.

At the gift-giving ceremony, on behalf of the company, Ms. Truong Thi Thu Huyen from Chicilon Media presented gifts and expressed good wishes to the school representatives, as well as took the time to talk, inquire, and encourage the students.

“For the past 2 years, many students have been unable to return home because of the high ticket prices. But with the help of Chicilon Media, the way home for these students has become much more convenient,” said a representative from the University of Commerce.

On behalf of the students, Xuan Truong, a student from Hanoi University of Pharmacy (Nghe An), sincerely expressed his gratitude to the company. He shared that for students who study far away from home like him, each bus ticket back to their hometown is very precious, it carries the feeling of homesickness and the desire to meet their parents and relatives more than ever.

Giving an opportunity is giving love, the moments spent with family were very close to the hearts of the Hanoi University of Pharmacy students.
