Classic scooters are becoming a new trend among female customers in the Southeast Asian motorcycle market. Not only emerging brands, even well-established names in the motorcycle industry such as Honda, are quickly introducing many new models to compete in this segment. Honda Giorno+ is one of them.

Importantly, according to the industrial property ownership announcement, document 430 part B – volume 2 – January 2024, this model has been registered for design copyright. This indicates that this scooter is about to be launched in the Vietnamese market.

Honda Giorno+ 2024 was launched in Thailand in August 2023. This scooter has 2 versions, including standard (white-black, yellow-black, blue-black and green-black) with a listed price of 61,900 Baht (equivalent to 42.3 million VND). The ABS version (white-black, gray-black and red-black) has a price of 66,900 Baht (45.8 million VND).

The 2024 Honda Giorno+ has dimensions of 1,902 x 681 x 1,144 mm, the weight of the CBS version is 118 kg, and the ABS version weighs 2 kg more. The seat height is 780 mm, the wheelbase is 1,312 mm, and the ground clearance is 155 mm.

The design of this model features round headlight, with LED integrated into the lighting system of the scooter. The front apron is wide and incorporates 2 low-set turn signal lights. The flat floor provides a wide leg space, while the seat is a one-piece design, covered in leather. It is noteworthy that the 2024 Honda Giorno+ does not use eSAF frame like many other Honda scooters, but instead uses a conventional dual tube steel frame.

Giorno+ 2024 has telescopic front forks and single spring rear shock absorber. The front and rear tire sizes are 100/90 R12 and 110/90 R12, both are tubeless tires. The front wheel uses disc brakes, while the rear wheel uses drum brakes.

Honda Giorno+ is equipped with an LCD display similar to the Vario 160 models. This scooter also features a front storage compartment with a USB port, smart key, front fuel tank lid, and hidden rear footrest. The main storage compartment has a capacity of up to 30 liters, in a U-Box design under the seat.

Similarly, like many other Honda scooters, Giorno+ is equipped with a 4-valve eSP+ engine with a capacity of 125 cc, applying PGM-FI electronic fuel injection technology and liquid cooling, which is the same type used on the LEAD 125. Detailed specifications of this engine have not been announced yet. This scooter also has a version equipped with disc brakes and ABS anti-lock braking system on the front wheel.

When entering the Vietnamese market, this model is considered a competitor to the Yamaha Grande and Honda LEAD.
