Two companies distribute cash dividends ahead of Lunar New Year

According to statistics, there are 2 businesses that announced dividend payouts in the week of February 5th – 9th. Both companies are paying cash dividends this week, with the highest rate at 10% and the lowest rate at 5%.

Vietnam Disinfection Joint Stock Company (VFG – HOSE) announced a temporary dividend advance for 2023 in cash at a rate of 10%, equivalent to 1,000 VND per share. The last registration date is February 7th, equivalent to the ex-dividend date of February 6th. With nearly 41.7 million shares outstanding, it is estimated that VFG will need to pay about 4.2 billion VND for this dividend payment. The implementation date is March 8th. Looking back at its history, VFG has consistently paid dividends to shareholders, with a rate of over 10% per year.

VFG is under the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry with its main business in disinfection of exported goods. In 2001, the company completed the equitization process and became the first joint stock company in the disinfection and agrochemical industry. VFC is listed on HOSE, officially trading since December 17th, 2009 with the code VFG.

In the market, VFG’s stock price has continuously surged, reaching a new historical peak of 56,300 VND/share. Behind that is the information that the company has just reported the highest profit in 2023 ever, breaking the record of 2022.

Bac Ninh Clean Water Joint Stock Company (symbol BNW – UpCoM) announced February 7th as the last registration date to finalize the shareholder list for a 5% cash dividend per share, equivalent to 500 VND per share. The ex-dividend date is February 6th. The expected implementation date is March 6th. With 37.5 million shares outstanding, BNW needs to allocate 1.9 billion VND for this dividend payment.

Regarding the Q4/2023 business results, BNW recorded net revenue of 69 billion VND, an increase of 26%. Net profit after tax increased by 157% to reach 11 billion VND.
