For many low-income workers, buying a plane ticket to return home to their families during the Lunar New Year is not an easy task. They have endured many Lunar New Years away from home, lacking both material and spiritual support. Now, their biggest dream is to be reunited with their families during the upcoming Lunar New Year in 2024. Understanding this, GULU FOODS and Vietnam Airlines have collaborated to implement the “Journey of Reunion” project to help them “Return Home” and celebrate the Year of the Rat 2024 after years of separation.
On the evening of January 29, 2024, the flight of love connecting the two regions of the country safely landed, bringing migrant workers from southern provinces to the north to celebrate the Lunar New Year. Vietnam Airlines arranged buses from Noi Bai Airport to transfer stations to support migrant workers in reaching their hometowns in the fastest way possible.

This flight left me with a lot of emotions. The passengers on this flight have many special and difficult life stories. Some workers have not been home for many years. Some children have not returned to their hometown or reunited with their loved ones since they were born. These special circumstances touched me deeply. Although we can only help them in a very small way, seeing their smiles gives me more motivation and a greater sense of responsibility towards society as a business.”
