What is Net Zero? How to achieve Net Zero in Architecture – Construction?

Net Zero, also known as zero emissions, is the “state of balance between the amount of greenhouse gases emitted into the atmosphere and the amount removed from it”. This concept has emerged because, to serve for the economic – social development, humans have exploited and used resources without a plan and discharged many hazardous substances into the environment, causing serious impacts on the overall environment. One of the most obvious impacts is the greenhouse effect. To address this issue, the urgent task now is to find ways to reduce greenhouse gas emissions while still ensuring sustainable development of society.

Prefab Houses – One of the predicted Green solutions leading the future of Architecture – Construction.

To achieve the Net Zero goal in the architecture and construction industry, choosing sustainable building material solutions to replace traditional materials is evaluated to be the future construction trend. “Green” works not only contribute to minimizing the impact of climate change, reducing dependence on non-renewable construction materials, but also create sustainable and beautiful “works of art”.

Tran Duc Group pioneers in supplying sustainable building materials

Having operated for over two decades with the goal for the environment, Tran Duc always positions itself as the pioneer of the Green revolution in the architecture and construction industry. Aiming for the Net Zero in the future, Tran Duc has been and is implementing this commitment with many specific actions, demonstrating the position of the “leader”.

Tran Duc currently owns two factories with a total area of over 120,000m2, with an experienced staff of over 2,000 employees. Tran Duc Group has four major brands to provide comprehensive solutions for Green architecture and construction, including Tran Duc Furnishings (TDF) – specializes in manufacturing and supplying high-end hotel furniture, Tran Duc Homes (TDH) – specializes in providing comprehensive solutions for Green architecture and construction, Modulux Homes – specializes in providing convenient, sustainable living solutions, and An Lam – operating two premium resorts An Lam Retreats Sai Gon River and An Lam Ninh Van Bay.

In addition to the current two factories, it is expected that by 2025, Tran Duc Group will inaugurate its third factory with an area of up to 128,000m2, designed to the most advanced Green standards. One of the Group’s leading brands, Tran Duc Homes (TDH), has also made a mark with a diverse and comprehensive range of solutions for Green architecture and construction. From flooring, decking, cladding, and doors, TDH not only provides products but also implements special construction projects applying breakthrough building material solutions from wood. Two typical solutions of TDH are Glulam (Glued Laminated Timber Structures), replacing concrete columns or steel reinforcement, and CLT (Cross Laminated Timber) technology, replacing concrete floors from residential to large-scale construction projects. Both solutions are installed quickly on-site, optimizing the project completion time and costs for investors.

At present, TDH is one of the first units to supply and own the first CLT chain in Southeast Asia. In addition, the Modular houses, Prefab houses, villas, and townhouses (wooden frame, steel frame) also play an important role in TDH’s diverse solution portfolio, not only enhancing the efficiency of Green works but also contributing significantly to the sustainability aspect of the construction industry. All of these premises will mark an important step in the application of sustainable green material solutions in architecture and construction.
