Da Nang experiences a bustling influx of tourists during Tet, generating nearly 1.6 trillion VND in tourism revenue.

According to Vietnam's leading newspaper, Tien Phong, on February 14th (the 5th day of Lunar New Year), the Department of Tourism announced that the city welcomed nearly 402,000 visitors during the 7-day Lunar New Year holiday.

This figure represents an increase of 37% compared to the same period last year. In particular,

international tourists

accounted for nearly 177,000 visits.

Tourists flock to amusement parks in Da Nang.

The majority of tourists visiting Da Nang during the Lunar New Year are independent travelers in small groups (families, friends, couples), accounting for about 70%, with the peak period falling on the 2nd to the 5th day of the Lunar New Year. Tourist attractions in Da Nang welcomed a large number of visitors during this period. Sun World Ba Na Hills received more than 82,000 visitors, an increase of 8% compared to the same period last year. Asia Park received nearly 35,000 visitors, an increase of 16%. Ngu Hanh Son World Cultural Heritage Site received nearly 40,000 visitors, an increase of 31%. Son Tra Peninsula received more than 70,000 visitors, an increase of 57%. Mikazuki Hot Mineral Spring Park received nearly 11,000 visitors, an increase of over 50%. Nui Than Tai hot mineral spring park received nearly 8,000 visitors, an increase of 44%…

During the Lunar New Year, Da Nang welcomed 777 domestic and international flights and 3 ships to Tiên Sa Port, serving 3,400 passengers. Tourists visited famous destinations in the city such as Ngu Hanh Son – Marble Mountains, Linh Ung Pagoda – Son Tra, Champa Sculpture Museum…

Additionally, a significant number of local residents and tourists participated in the Han River Cruise experience, with over 21,000 visits. The total revenue from tourism during the Lunar New Year holiday was around VND 1,580 billion.
