Highest Net Profit from Listings

Closing out 2023, DTD achieved a net profit of over 213 billion VND, doubling the result from 2022. This also marks the highest annual net profit reported by the Company since its listing on the HNX in 2017.

Investment Development Corporation Thanh Dat (HNX: DTD) announced its consolidated financial statements for Q4/2023 with revenues of over 112 billion VND, down 12% compared to the same period last year. However, the cost of goods sold decreased more than the decrease in revenue, so after deduction, the enterprise’s gross profit reached over 52 billion VND. As a result, the gross profit margin also increased from 24% to nearly 47%.

Financial operating revenue increased 7 times compared to the same period last year, reaching over 11 billion VND, all from deposit interest and lending.

In addition, the company’s total expenses during the period were 7 billion VND, a decrease of 18%, helping the enterprise report a net profit of over 30 billion VND, an increase of 117% compared to the same period.

Accumulated for the whole year 2023, DTD recorded net revenue of nearly 786 billion VND and net profit of over 213 billion VND, an increase of 35% and 101% respectively compared to 2022. This is also the highest net profit of DTD since listing on HNX in 2017.

As of December 31, 2023, DTD had total assets of nearly 2,181 billion VND, an increase of 7% compared to the beginning of the year. Cash and cash equivalents decreased sharply by 69%, leaving only about 55 billion VND. Meanwhile, short-term financial investments increased by 178% to over 571 billion VND, all of which were bank deposits.

Inventory was at 95 billion VND, a reduction of 18%, and construction in progress amounted to over 466 billion VND, a decrease of 16%, of which the majority of the cost was for the Dong Van III Industrial Park infrastructure project, totaling over 332 billion VND, and the Yen Lanh Port project, totaling over 131 billion VND.

On the liabilities side, DTD’s total outstanding debt was 952 billion VND, a decrease of 12% compared to the beginning of the year. In which, the total financial borrowings, both short-term and long-term, amounted to nearly 64 billion VND, an increase of 8%.
