Increased likelihood of State Bank raising credit limit

In 2024, the State Bank may introduce some mechanisms and policies to facilitate the recovery of the economy, thereby enhancing the access to banking credit in the near future.

According to the report by the State Bank, by the end of 2023, the mobilization of capital of the entire banking system is quite high, increasing nearly 13.5% compared to the end of 2022; of which deposits in VND

of the population increase about 12.5% compared to the end of 2022, reflecting the trust of the people and organizations in the stable macroeconomic achievements, the safety of the credit institution system,

as well as confidence in the domestic currency.

In 2024, the State Bank continues to actively and flexibly implement monetary policies.

At the beginning of 2024, the State Bank aims to achieve credit growth of about 15%, adjusted in accordance with actual developments and situations. The State Bank has proactively implemented new mechanisms in credit management.

To create favorable conditions for credit institutions to provide credit capital to meet economic growth needs, from the beginning of 2024, the State Bank has assigned all the targets for credit growth to be 15% and required credit institutions to control credit growth in 2024. If any bank or credit institution achieves the targets and is still able to provide additional capital to the economy while ensuring the quality and safety of the system, as well as meeting macroeconomic conditions, the State Bank will continue to

assign more credit limits

The State Bank will closely monitor the domestic and international economic developments to proactively forecast the situation and

develop

appropriate monetary policy scenarios, including contingency plans for unfavorable and unpredictable economic developments that may occur in the global economy in order to stabilize the money market, exchange rates, and contribute to controlling inflation and maintaining macroeconomic stability in accordance with the objectives set by the National Assembly and the Government.
