The number of people arriving at Tan Son Nhat Airport (Ho Chi Minh City) has started to increase since February 13.

This tension is also happening on routes from Vinh, Hai Phong, and Da Nang to Ho Chi Minh City. From February 13-19, there were only 2 available flights from Quang Ninh operated by Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet Air, with ticket prices starting at 4 million VND.

For tourist routes such as Phu Quoc Island – Hanoi, the number of tickets is still abundant. It is worth noting that on this route, passengers can consider connecting flights with prices starting at only 3.3 million VND. Meanwhile, the prices of direct flights operated by Vietnam Airlines are all over 4 million VND. Travelers from Quy Nhon and Da Lat can easily purchase plane tickets to Hanoi as there are still many available seats.

However, there are not many tickets left for the Nha Trang – Hanoi route. In fact, on February 15, all seats were sold out.

According to records on February 13, the number of passengers at Tan Son Nhat Airport – Ho Chi Minh City started to increase compared to previous days. It is expected that the airport will operate 834 flights with more than 136,000 passengers, including 414 flights with over 76,000 passengers (nearly 54,000 domestic passengers and over 22,000 international passengers).

In comparison, on February 12 (lunar January 3), Tan Son Nhat Airport served over 126,000 passengers with 63,000 arrivals.

To meet the demand mainly from northern provinces traveling to Ho Chi Minh City after Tet, airlines are expected to add empty flights to Noi Bai Airport.
