Haval affirms the arrival of Tank 300 in Vietnam this year: Resembling Jimny, hybrid engine, and Land Rover-like off-road technology

In an interview published on February 10, Mr. Nguyen Van Dung, General Director of Haval Vietnam, confirmed that the company will introduce 2 new models this year, including Tank 300 and Jolion. While Jolion has been revealed by sales advisors before, this is the first time Tank 300 information in Vietnam has been made public.

GWM Tank 300 will be launched in the Vietnamese market this year.

Unlike H6 and Jolion, which belong to the Haval brand, Tank 300 belongs to the parent company Great Wall Motor (GWM). In Thailand, the GWM Tank 300 has 2 versions: Pro and Ultra, with prices of 1.649 million baht and 1.799 million baht, equivalent to 1.116-1.218 billion VND.

GWM Tank 300 stands out with its boxy SUV design similar to the Ford Bronco or Suzuki Jimny. In terms of size, this model is equivalent to the C-class SUV/CUV segment with a length of 4,760 mm, width of 1,930 mm and height of 1,903 mm. The wheelbase is 2,750 mm. Due to its off-road orientation, the car has a ground clearance of 225 mm and a wading depth of 700 mm. The wheel size is 17 inches.

The engine is a hybrid type, using a combination of a 2.0L turbocharged petrol engine (244 horsepower and 380 Nm of torque) and an electric motor (106 horsepower and 268 Nm of torque), combined with a 9-speed automatic transmission and AWD four-wheel drive.

The car has many modern off-road features and supports such as steering in narrow spaces, automatic throttle on rough terrain, displaying images under the car, electronic differential lock (front and rear axle) and 4 terrain modes (Snow, Mud, Sand and 4Low). In addition, there are 3 operating modes: Economy, Normal and Sport.

The interior compartment is reminiscent of the Mercedes-AMG G 63 with a center screen and a steering wheel-mounted rear screen, a 3-spoke steering wheel or a turbine-style air vent. The center screen and steering wheel-mounted rear screen are both 12.3 inches in size. The highest-end version in Thailand is equipped with an 8-speaker Infinity sound system and 1 subwoofer.

Other outstanding features include paddle shifters behind the steering wheel, electronic parking brake, interior decorative lights, sunroof, wireless charging, air and fine dust filtration feature. The driver’s seat is electrically adjustable, with memory position, cooling and massage functions. The car only has 5 seats.

In terms of safety technology, the GWM Tank 300 is equipped with 6 airbags, panoramic camera, smart parking assist, automatic reverse assist, smart cruise control, smart curve assist, front and rear emergency brakes, collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, tire pressure monitoring, traffic sign recognition…
