Revenue CTR hits nearly 900 billion in the first month of the year, increasing by 15%.

Viettel Construction JSC (CTR on HOSE) has recently announced its business results for January 2024, showcasing a remarkable growth in revenue across all sectors.

In the first month of the year, CTR achieved a revenue of VND 868.7 billion and a pre-tax profit of VND 49.8 billion, an increase of 15% and 17% respectively compared to the same period last year. These results helped the company achieve 6.9% of the revenue target and 7.4% of the profit target for the year.

In terms of revenue structure in January, CTR’s solution and technical services sector recorded the highest growth, with a 64% increase compared to the same period, contributing 13% of total revenue (reaching VND 109.4 billion). The infrastructure leasing sector also experienced strong growth, with a 54% increase to VND 44.4 billion, accounting for 5%.

However, the main contribution to CTR’s total revenue is still the operation and exploitation sector, reaching VND 450.5 billion, a 2% increase compared to the same period (accounting for 52%). The construction revenue reached VND 261.3 billion, an increase of 12% (accounting for 30%).

Previously, CTR announced its business results for 2023 with record-high revenue and pre-tax profit, reaching VND 11,299 billion (an increase of 19% compared to the same period) and VND 645 billion (an increase of 13%).

During the 2019-2023 period, the compound annual growth rate of the company’s revenue reached 22%, and the compound annual growth rate of pre-tax profit reached 33.5%.

In line with the business results, CTR stock price has been continuously increasing since mid-November 2022. Currently, the stock is trading at a historical peak with a closing price of VND 97,200 per share on February 16, 2024, an increase of 45% in the past six months and 2.7 times higher than the bottom price.

Before the Lunar New Year, CTR shareholders received cash “lucky money”. On February 6 (27th of Lunar December), the company disbursed nearly VND 220 billion to distribute the remaining 2022 dividends to shareholders, with a rate of 19.19% (VND 1,919 per share). The ex-dividend date was January 18, 2024.

Prior to that, at the end of June 2023, CTR paid a dividend of over VND 114 billion for the first period of 2022, with a rate of 10%. Therefore, after two dividend payments for 2022, the company has disbursed nearly VND 334 billion, with a total rate of 29.19%.

Regarding operational activities, CTR’s Board of Directors has just approved the plan to organize the 2024 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, scheduled to take place from April 15 to 20. The specific date, venue, and agenda will be announced later. The record date for shareholders is March 8th, 2024.
