According to our updated information, Beta Cinema’s website is experiencing difficulties in accessing due to the overwhelming amount of visitors. Currently, the website of Rạp Quốc Gia – the only cinema showing the mentioned movie until now – also reports that it is unable to access.

Recently, in an interview with Văn hóa news, Bùi Quang Minh, the Chairman of Beta Group – also known as Minh Beta and an investor on Shark Tank Vietnam – stated that the company desires to screen the movie “Đào, Phở và Piano” at 18 Beta Cinemas.

“All the related costs during the movie screening will be borne by the company. With the spirit of contributing to the domestic film industry, we will screen the movie with non-profit purposes. All the ticket revenue generated from the movie, we will submit to the State budget to contribute to the production of high-quality movies with profound messages in the future,” expressed Shark Minh Beta.

Shark Minh Beta emerged in the past period for participating in Shark Tank season 6 alongside sharks Tuệ Lâm, Hưng, Bình, Lê Hùng Anh, Louis Nguyễn, and Erik Jonsson. Although he has also invested in many deals, the impressions left by this businessman are still not too prominent. However, after the move to screen one of the hottest films at the current time, the name of Shark Minh Beta has become “hot” again.

“Đào, Phở và Piano” is a film by director Phi Tiến Sơn, commissioned by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Cinema Department, produced by Phim truyện I Joint Stock Company, inspired by the 60-day battle in late 1946, early 1947 in Hanoi. Before its release during Tet holiday, the film won the Silver Lotus Award at the 23rd Vietnam Film Festival in November 2023.

After more than 10 days of screening, “Đào, Phở và Piano” unexpectedly became a phenomenon with consecutive “sold out” tickets. According to the statistics from Box Office Vietnam on February 19th, the film sold over 3,000 tickets with only 18 screenings, averaging about 180 tickets per show.

The official website of the National Cinema Center – the only place currently showing the movie – has continuously crashed for the past 3 days due to the high number of visitors. Images of long queues of people waiting to watch the movie have also been widely shared on social media.
