The People’s Committee of Hanoi City has recently sent a letter to the Ministry of Transport to consider the height of the non-static construction, the 108-story Financial Tower, in the Smart City investment project, Dong Anh district, Hanoi City.
According to the People’s Committee of Hanoi City, the construction of the 108-story Financial Tower is in line with the approved planning and supports the idea of studying the design of the project as an internationally recognized complex.
To provide a basis for the High Command Bureau – General Staff to approve the non-static height of the Financial Tower, and the Bac Ha Smart City Development Investment Corporation to complete the investment procedures, the People’s Committee of Hanoi City has requested the Ministry of Transport to direct the Vietnamese Civil Aviation Authority and Vietnam Airlines to cooperate with the High Command Bureau – General Staff and relevant units to study and evaluate the non-static height of the proposed construction and related technical requirements.
The People’s Committee of Hanoi City also informed that the Bac Ha Smart City Development Investment Corporation is currently carrying out the investment procedures for the aforementioned mixed commercial financial center project (Financial Tower) with a construction scale of 108 floors and an expected height of 639m, with the goal of becoming the tallest building in Vietnam.
According to the Bac Ha Smart City Development Investment Corporation, the company has contacted the High Command Bureau – General Staff to request approval for the non-static height of the Financial Tower.
In this regard, according to the Air and Air Defense Advisory Board, the 639m height of the construction will not affect the flying activities of the Air and Air Defense Forces or the parade and review route in Ba Dinh.
On the other hand, the Vietnamese Civil Aviation Authority believes that the non-static height will not affect the obstacle clearance surfaces at Noi Bai Airport. The Vietnamese Civil Aviation Authority has requested the investor, consulting and surveying units to coordinate with the High Command Bureau, the Vietnamese Civil Aviation Authority, and the Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation to review and supplement the accuracy of input data for in-depth research, impact assessment, detailed calculations, and consideration of the construction height.
The Smart City project is located at the foot of Nhat Tan Bridge, on the Nhat Tan – Noi Bai development axis in Hanoi, in Dong Anh district. With a total area of over 270 hectares and an investment capital of up to $4.2 billion, the project is divided into 5 phases and is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2032.
