Under the agreement, BAT will become the official dealer of VinFast in Oman. In the period from 2024 to 2027, BAT plans to open and operate 13 VinFast stores and service workshops. The first store is expected to open in mid-2024 and will sell VinFast electric models VF 6, VF 7, VF 8, and VF 9 when these models are launched on the market.

At the signing event

Prior to this, VinFast and BAT signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation at the 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 28) held in the United Arab Emirates. Through promoting cooperation with the first dealer partner in Oman, VinFast is actively participating in the realization of green mobility solutions in the Middle East region.

Mr. Ta Xuan Hien, VinFast Middle East General Director, shared: “Oman is a potential electric vehicle market as the country’s consumers are increasingly interested in green and sustainable transportation. Cooperating with BAT will help VinFast quickly access the market and provide customers in this country with a diverse range of electric vehicle products.”

The electric vehicle market in Oman is predicted to grow strongly in the coming years as the country’s government has implemented initiatives to encourage the use of electric vehicles in response to climate change, reduce carbon emissions, and limit fossil fuel consumption.
