Gold prices climb nearly 80 million dong per tael, approaching all-time high

On February 29th, the price of gold in Vietnam continued to rise sharply. In particular, the selling price of SJC gold has reached nearly 80 million dong per tael, not far from the peak level achieved at the end of last year (80.3 million dong per tael).

At Saigon Jewelry, the SJC gold price is currently listed at 77.7-79.7 million VND/tael, an increase of 300 thousand VND/tael compared to yesterday. The price of 24k gold rings here has also increased by 200 thousand VND/tael to 64.1-65.4 million VND/tael.

At DOJI, the SJC gold price is listed at 77.65-70.65 million VND/tael. The price of 9999 round gold rings is at 65.02-66.20 million VND/tael, the highest so far.

Phu Nhuan Gold, Silver and Gemstones also increased today, with the listed price of SJC gold at 77.8-79.7 million VND/tael. The price of 24k gold is at 64.1-65.3 million VND/tael.

Bao Tin Minh Chau listed the price of SJC gold bars at 77.75-79.65 million VND/tael, while the price of gold rings is 65.38-66.48 million VND/tael.

In recent days, domestic gold prices have been continuously rising, while international gold prices have been fluctuating around 2,035 USD/ounce. Converted at the VND/USD exchange rate at banks, international gold prices are equivalent to around 61 million VND/tael. If converted at the USD exchange rate in the free market, international gold prices are equivalent to 62.3 million VND/tael.
