The Provincial Inspectorate of Kien Giang has recently issued its concluding inspection results on the planning and implementation of construction planning for the Department of Construction and the People’s Committees of districts and cities in Kien Giang province.
According to the inspection results, Phu Cuong Kien Giang Joint Stock Company (Phu Cuong Kien Giang Company) has partially adjusted land use planning in area BT31 (Zone I, Phu Cuong New Urban Area, Rach Gia City, Kien Giang Province). The company has also completed the procedures for changing the land use purpose and submitted the land use payment on July 3, 2023 to the Kien Giang Provincial Tax Department.
“However, the land use payment of over 46 billion VND by Phu Cuong Kien Giang Company is not in compliance with the regulations of Article 18, Clause 4 of Decree No. 126/2020/ND-CP dated October 19, 2020 of the Government on detailed regulations for some articles of the Tax Administration Law,” stated the inspection results.

Furthermore, according to the inspection results, Phu Cuong Kien Giang Company also adjusted the land use purpose without completing the procedures for the commercial service land in the center of Phan Thi Rang Roundabout (Phu Cuong New Urban Area, Rach Gia City).
In addition, two new construction projects, Truong Phat Training and Testing Center for Drivers by Truong Phat Co., Ltd., and Kien Giang Automotive Registration Center by Doan Thinh Phu Co., Ltd., were implemented without completing the procedures for changing the land use purpose, resulting in the improper use of land.
Based on these shortcomings, the Provincial Inspectorate of Kien Giang recommends that the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee direct the Director of the Department of Construction to promptly correct the identified violations.
The Provincial Inspectorate also recommends that the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee assign the Rach Gia City People’s Committee, in coordination with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the Department of Construction, and other related departments, to inspect and review the three aforementioned projects that have not completed the procedures for changing the land use purpose in order to handle them in accordance with the legal regulations…
