According to Ninh Binh Provincial Police, around the beginning of 2020, Vu Ngoc Ty claimed to have a close relationship with some high-ranking leaders of the Government and central ministries, departments, and agencies, so he obtained 6.8 hectares of valuable land in Dong Thanh Ward, Ninh Binh City.
With the above tricks, Ty asked Mr. L.H.Th. (residing in Tan Thanh Ward, Ninh Binh City) to give him 5.6 billion VND for “diplomatic missions” and tax payments in exchange for 1.5 hectares of land.
Trusting Vu Ngoc Ty, Mr. Th. transferred money several times with a total amount of 8.2 billion VND. After that, Ty gave him 4 fake land use certificates. Realizing that he was deceived, Mr. Th. reported to the police.
According to Ninh Binh Provincial Police, Vu Ngoc Ty is currently serving a suspended sentence of 36 months and a probation period of 60 months (from May 27, 2022) for the crime of “fraud and misappropriation of property”.
Currently, the case is being further investigated and clarified by the Ninh Binh Provincial Police.
