On March 11, the new Ford Everest Platinum V6 with an all-new engine was officially launched in the Thai market. However, the configuration is currently limited to 350 units.

There are several significant changes made to the Ford Everest Platinum V6. First and foremost is the introduction of the new 3.0L V6 diesel engine with 250 horsepower and 600Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission, and the two-wheel-drive system has been upgraded to a full-time four-wheel-drive system.

Other notable differences on the Ford Everest Platinum V6 include an exclusive front grille, a large “PLATINUM” logo, new 21-inch alloy wheels, and a 275/45 R21 spare tire. It is worth noting that this version does not have a panoramic sunroof and comes with a default dark-colored ceiling (users have to choose the panoramic sunroof as an optional feature).

Inside the cabin, the ambient lighting has been added, and the black leather seats feature an exclusive honeycomb mesh pattern with the PLATINUM logo. The 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat has been upgraded to 10-way and now has a memory function for three favorite seating positions. The driver’s area also features a new ventilation system.

Moving back a bit, the second row seats are equipped with seat heating/cooling function and have individual air vents. The entertainment system has been upgraded to a Bang & Olufsen surround sound system with 12 speakers (default is 8 speakers).

Other features and specifications of the Ford Everest Platinum V6 remain unchanged compared to the standard version. The vehicle still has dimensions of 4,914 x 1,923 x 1,842 mm (LxWxH) with a wheelbase length of 2,900 mm. As the Platinum variant sets the standard, the Ford Everest Platinum V6 is equipped with all the high-level features of the Everest, such as LED matrix headlights, electronic parking brake, and dual 12.4/12-inch screens inside the cabin.

The selling price of the car has been announced as THB 2,279,000, equivalent to about VND 1.58 billion, making it the highest-priced configuration of the Everest in Thailand. The previous top-of-the-line version of the Ford Everest in Thailand (Titanium+ 2.0L twin-turbo) was priced at THB 1,874,000 (around VND 1.3 billion).

The Ford Everest Platinum will also be introduced in Vietnam. This information has been confirmed by Ford Vietnam. The estimated price for this version is VND 1.7 billion.

However, the version introduced in Vietnam will not be the same as the one in Thailand. In Vietnam, the Ford Everest Platinum will be equipped with a 2.0L twin-turbo engine, producing 207 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. It will come with a 10-speed automatic transmission and a four-wheel drive system. The vehicle will also feature a terrain management system with 6 driving modes.
