The world’s top-tier living urban area in Ocean City

In a recent feature aired on CNBC, viewers were taken to three distinct “districts” of Ocean City, each with its own unique charm. The “Central District” of Vinhomes Ocean Park 1 exudes a vibrant and modern urban feel; the “Metropolis District” of Vinhomes Ocean Park 2 is bustling with vibrant shopping streets, while the “Resort District” of Vinhomes Ocean Park 3 allows residents to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life in a relaxing space right at home.

“Every day, I get to do new things and add value to life. That’s what I love about my job,” shared Ms. Nguyen Thu Hang, CEO of Vinhomes, in the feature. When developing Ocean City, Vinhomes nurtured the idea and vision of a new type of city that meets the residents’ every need right within their living space, from entertainment facilities, hospitals, and commercial centers to a comprehensive education system.

According to Ms. Hang, globalization and urbanization have changed the mindset and demands of residents. They aspire to a better quality of life in both material and spiritual aspects. CNBC reports that by 2050, two-thirds of the world’s population will live in cities. Therefore, the demand for sustainable cities like Ocean City becomes increasingly urgent.

“Ocean City, the all-in-one city or the ’15-minute city,’ is a place where residents can access all amenities right within the city,” affirmed Ms. Hang. Moreover, Ocean City plays an important role in reducing overcrowding and pressure on the city’s infrastructure.

The premier living space in Vietnam, Vinhomes Ocean Park offers a high-class resort-style living option complete with world-class amenities, allowing residents to enjoy every moment without having to travel far.

But the vision behind this expansive 1,200-hectare mega-city does not stop at physical infrastructure and amenities. “Vinhomes is a pioneer real estate developer in Vietnam that integrates the healing concept into a residential complex,” quoted CNBC Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Thu, R&D Director of Vinhomes.

Open spaces make up 1/4 of Ocean City’s area. The American television network noted that this is the recommended planning ratio by UN-Habitat.

Leading viewers to Crystal Lagoon, a 6.1-hectare saltwater lake nestled right in the heart of Ocean City with its pristine blue waters and white sandy beach, CNBC said it is the “largest man-made beach in Vietnam and the sixth largest in the world”. “The idea actually came from the Chairman of the Group, not the R&D team. At that time, he asked himself, ‘What do residents really need and want? Oh, we need to bring a beach into the city’,” shared Ms. Thu.

Fostering mental well-being while constantly looking forward, the vibrant life in Ocean City also offers countless job opportunities and career development. Adjacent to the entertainment and resort zones are smart office towers that prioritize sustainability. In 2021, the Technopark building within the Vinhomes Ocean Park 1 complex won the highest award from the Green Building Council of the United States for its intelligent design, which helps save up to 20% of annual energy consumption.

The city of the future seedbed

Behind the spacious and lively facade of Ocean City, CNBC’s “Paradise Rhythm” feature also vividly depicts the peaceful life of Mrs. Bui’s small family, one of over 60,000 residents in the mega-city. “Unlike all the places my family has lived before, Ocean City brings everything right to our doorstep, providing a sense of safety and fulfillment,” she shared.

The comprehensive education system in Ocean City nurtures a global community of residents.

Ocean City not only provides children with a civilized and healthy development environment but also endeavors to become a cradle nurturing the future generation with prestigious schools such as Brighton College and Dewey International School. VinUni — in collaboration with Cornell University (USA) — also offers an international quality education program, nurturing the knowledge of the next generation of leaders.

“Young people are always exploring, learning, and growing. In Ocean City, we are building the future together. What could be more wonderful?” shared Mr. Matthew Bartlett, Founding Principal of Brighton College Vietnam, with CNBC.

To complete the picture, Ocean City also brings business opportunities and career development to its residents. According to CNBC, nearly 500 brands are present in Vinhomes’ mega community, including one of the most sought-after coffee chains.

During the Tet holiday, the Grand World entertainment and shopping complex in Ocean City attracted nearly 500,000 tourists. All stalls were fully operational.

“When I arrived here, what impressed me the most was the river right in the heart of Ocean City,” shared Mr. Do Van Truong of Katinat with CNBC, referring to the 830-meter Venice River. Truong’s shop has a view directly facing the river, where visitors can enjoy tea or coffee while admiring the Gondola boats gently floating under Venice-style fishing nets.

Ocean City not only constructs but also miniaturizes world wonders within its premises. On the other side of the downsized Venice River is the K-Town neighborhood with an Asian vibe, featuring distinctive Korean-style houses. The East meets West fusion brings unique experiences to visitors that are different from anywhere else.

The cultural convergence space at Grand World delights every visitor, perfecting the moments of entertainment for hundreds of thousands of people.

“This place is truly beautiful and reminiscent of Venice. It’s a very unique experience. When I posted pictures on social media, everyone asked me where I was traveling to. No one believed that I was in Vietnam,” shared a couple of foreign tourists in CNBC’s feature.

Located in the economic golden triangle of northern Vietnam, including Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, and Hanoi, Ocean City aims to integrate into the vibrant rhythm of the region. Seamlessly connected to the capital’s center and the golden economic axes, this urban area is expected to become part of the fast-rising economic-societal center in the east of Hanoi.

The echoes of Ocean City will resonate even further as more and more people move here to live and work. “In a country that is constantly innovating, in the east of Hanoi, families have found a colorful life in Ocean City,” CNBC concluded.
