Previously, Long Chau and Boehringer Ingelheim Vietnam jointly organized training programs for pharmacists at Long Chau; however, this combination is an extremely special one, marking a turning point in the advanced training of the pharmacist generation when you have the opportunity to directly learn and exchange with the leading experts in Vietnam and the world right at Long Chau. This is also an opportunity for FPT Long Chau pharmacists to gain practical experience and enhance the “real-life” skills in treating diabetes patients, thereby helping pharmacists equip themselves with good advisory knowledge for patients when coming to the pharmacy. In addition, pharmacists have the opportunity to participate in discussions, ask questions, and receive answers from experts, thereby enhancing their capacity for counseling and applying it to their daily work.”
Representative of Boehringer Ingelheim, Ms. Suet May – ASKAN Area Product Manager (ASEAN, Korea, Australia and New Zealand) shared at the event: “Patient care is central to healthcare professionals, so the role of doctors and pharmacists is increasingly important in patient management. Pharmacists not only provide medicines but also care for patients by guiding them on a journey to overcome illness, achieve good health, and ensure a quality life. The training program for pharmacists called “Because We Care” is expected to encourage, educate, and equip Long Chau pharmacists with knowledge, helping them to enhance their knowledge about chronic diseases such as hypertension and type 2 diabetes through direct training sessions, online workshops, as well as equipment and supporting documents to assist them in patient education. For Boehringer Ingelheim and FPT Long Chau, we are committed to achieving this from today and beyond… because we care.”
