Two adjacent towns near Ho Chi Minh City will be considered for upgrading to a city at the upcoming session of the National Assembly.

The 31st Session of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly is expected to take place over a span of 3.5 days, from March 14th to March 19th, 2024.

Accordingly, at the 31st Meeting held from 14th to 19th March, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly will give comments on 7 draft laws, including the revision of the Capital Law, the amendment of some articles of the Property Auction Law, the amendment of the Social Insurance Law, the Road Law, the Order and Safety of Road Traffic Law, the National Defense Industry Law, Security and Incentive Industry Law, the Organization of the People’s Court Law (revised) on 14th and 15th March.

On 19th March, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly is expected to attend the Conference to deploy Resolution No. 969/NQ-UBTVQH15 of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly guiding the organization of explanatory activities at the Ethnic Council meeting, the Committee of the National Assembly.

The Standing Committee of the National Assembly also reviews the voluntary participation report of the National Assembly in February 2024 and considers personnel work.

In addition, it considers, decides to establish An Dien Ward, An Tay Ward in Ben Cat Town and establish Ben Cat City in Binh Duong Province; establish, arrange wards in Go Cong Town and establish Go Cong City in Tien Giang Province.

The Standing Committee of the National Assembly dedicates the whole day of April 18th to conduct question and answer sessions. The two ministers responsible for answering are the Minister of Finance and the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
