Ford Vietnam has recently introduced the special edition Ford Ranger Stormtrak to the Vietnamese market. At the same time, the company also unveiled the Ford Everest Platinum – the highest-end version of the Everest lineup.

The Ford Ranger Stormtrak features various improvements, not only with its exterior, but also with its interior, bringing many first-time features to the pickup truck segment in the Vietnamese market.

In terms of exterior design, the front of the vehicle is equipped with additional fog lights placed on a decorative strip in the middle of the grille, which helps improve visibility in different weather conditions, particularly useful while driving at night. The hood is marked with the “RANGER” logo in a contrasting color, the grille has a new design, and the front bumper has a glossy black “H” design with a red outline, creating an accent. The 20-inch wheels with a matching color scheme also enhance the sophistication and recognition of the vehicle.

Inside the cabin, the Ford Ranger Stormtrak is upholstered in premium black and red leather, with the “Stormtrak” logo embroidered on the seat backs and red stitching accents on the leather upholstery, combined with chrome trim for added luxury. In addition to the familiar 12-inch infotainment display, the vehicle is equipped with new premium features such as an electronic gear shifter, a 12.4-inch digital speedometer, and 8-way power-adjustable front passenger seats.

Furthermore, the Ford Ranger Stormtrak is equipped with smart connectivity features such as the SYNC 4A voice-controlled system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connection, FordPass app, 6-speaker sound system, wireless charging, and multiple USB ports, a 12V socket, and a 230V (400W) power outlet.

The roof rack system and sports bars on the Stormtrak are capable of carrying a dynamic load of 80 kg and a static load of 250 kg. The sports bars allow the driver to easily adjust to 5 positions with just one hand. This feature meets all transportation needs, including large-sized items equivalent to the length of the vehicle, such as kayaks and paddleboards.

The Ranger Stormtrak is equipped with a Bi-Turbo 2.0L diesel engine that generates a maximum power of 210 PS and a torque of 500Nm, coupled with a 4-wheel drive system. The vehicle inherits the 10-speed electronic automatic transmission (e-Shifter) from the Ranger Raptor.

The price of the vehicle has not been announced by the company yet, but recently, some sales consultants at Ford have indicated a tentative price of 1.059 billion VND for the Stormtrak model, with plans to deliver the vehicles to customers in May 2024.

On the other hand, the Everest lineup now introduces the “Platinum” DNA for the first time. Compared to the Titanium version, the Ford Everest Platinum undergoes comprehensive changes in both exterior design and interior features. The redesigned grille stands out with its premium chrome mesh and the “Platinum” logo in the middle of the hood.

The largest-in-segment 20-inch alloy wheels of Everest Platinum come with a new design that stands out while on the move. At the rear of the vehicle, the Ford Everest Platinum maintains its modern and sporty style with distinctive taillights that are connected by a decorative strip engraved with the model’s name.

In addition to the improvements, the Ford Everest Platinum retains familiar comforts and conveniences such as LED matrix headlights, a vertically oriented 12-inch touch screen with SYNC 4A connectivity, a 12.4-inch digital instrument cluster, electronic gear shift, heated and ventilated seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, panoramic sunroof, and wireless phone charging.

Unfortunately, the Ford Everest Platinum is not equipped with the 3.0L V6 engine and still utilizes the 2.0L Bi-Turbo diesel engine paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and 4-wheel drive.

According to the company’s plan, both the Ranger Stormtrak and Everest Platinum will be available for sale in the Vietnamese market starting from the second week of April 2024 on Ford’s upcoming e-commerce platform.
