In mid-March 2024, Honda Japan announced the first information about the mid-life facelift version of the Honda HR-V. Currently in its 3rd generation, this model was launched in early 2021.
On the facelift version, the exterior of the Honda HR-V has been updated slightly to match the latest design language. The headlights look the same from the outside, but in reality, the lighting system has been improved inside to provide a better beam cutoff and anti-glare capability for oncoming drivers.
The most noticeable change on the outside of the Honda HR-V 2024 comes from the tail lights with a new two-tier design. One detail that differentiates the old and new HR-V is the overall grille design in the front.
The taillights are also the element that helps differentiate the old HR-V (left) and the new HR-V (right) as the new version is equipped with a two-tier design. This design makes the rear of the HR-V resemble some Porsche cars like the Macan or Cayenne. Photo: Honda
Inside the cabin of the Honda HR-V 2024, some minor changes have been made to improve practicality and convenience. The front passenger now has easy access to the wireless phone charging pad located between the central control cluster and the infotainment screen, as the space here has been enlarged. In addition, the previous extended border of the central control cluster towards the driver’s seat is no longer present and has been transformed into a closed-off area.

The powertrain of the Honda HR-V 2024 is likely to remain the same as it still revolves around the 1.5L 98 horsepower/127Nm gasoline engine paired with a single 109 horsepower/253Nm electric motor.
More information about the Honda HR-V facelift will continue to be revealed by the Japanese brand until the expected launch of the car in April.
