The 38th session of the Central Inspection Commission

On March 18, 2024, in Hanoi, the Central Inspection Commission held its 38th session. Comrade Tran Cam Tu, Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission, chaired the session.
During this session, the Central Inspection Commission reviewed and concluded on the following issues:
Examining the report on disciplinary actions against party members who violated regulations in Vinh Phuc and Quang Ngai provinces, the Central Inspection Commission found:
Comrade Hoang Thi Thuy Lan, member of the Party Central Committee, former Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council, Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies; Le Duy Thanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Affairs Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee of Vinh Phuc province; Dang Van Minh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Affairs Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Cao Khoa, former Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Affairs Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Ha Hoang Viet Phuong, member of the Provincial Party Committee’s Standing Committee, Head of the Management Board of Dung Quat Economic Zone and Industrial Parks in Quang Ngai province have shown political, moral, and lifestyle degradation; seriously violated the Party’s regulations and the state’s laws in carrying out their assigned tasks, in the prevention and combat against corruption, negative acts, violating the regulations on acts that party members are not allowed to do, and the responsibility of setting a good example; they committed serious negative acts, accepted bribes, causing very serious consequences, arousing public indignation, and negatively affecting the prestige of the party organization and local authorities, to the extent that disciplinary actions need to be considered and applied.
Based on the Party’s regulations, the Central Inspection Commission proposes competent authorities to consider and implement disciplinary actions against Comrade Hoang Thi Thuy Lan, Le Duy Thanh, Dang Van Minh, Cao Khoa, Ha Hoang Viet Phuong.
The Central Inspection Commission will continue to inspect, review, and handle party organizations, party members related to this case.

Previously, Ms. Lan, Mr. Thanh, Minh, Khoa were arrested and detained by the Ministry of Public Security for investigation of charges of accepting bribes in the case that happened at Phuc Son Group. Mr. Ha Hoang Viet Phuong is being investigated for serious violations of bidding regulations. The case at Phuc Son Group and related localities has been investigated by the Ministry of Public Security since February 26. Currently, 15 people have been arrested, including the Secretary, Chairman of Vinh Phuc province, the Chairman, former Chairman of Quang Ngai province, and many officials in this province. Only Mr. Dang Trung Hoanh, Chief of the Thang Mit district party committee’s office, Vinh Long province, is being investigated for the crime of Taking advantage of influence over people with positions and powers to benefit oneself. |
