The road connecting from the western provincial road to the coastal road has a length of 19.20 km, a roadbed width of 12m with 2 bridges on the route including Bridge 1 and Song Phi Bridge. The road has a total investment of nearly 820 billion VND
According to the Binh Dinh province’s traffic project management board, the road has disbursed the construction value of 296.8 billion VND, achieving nearly 57% and by the end of 2024, the road will be completed and put into use.
The formation of east-west connecting roads will expand the space of Phu My district towards the sea, facilitate trade between regions, step by step complete infrastructure and contribute to socio-economic development, ensuring local defense and security.
Mr. Ngo Anh Tuan, Deputy Director of Binh Dinh provincial traffic project management board, said that currently the agency is urging the construction units to strive to have the entire road asphalted by the end of June and by the end of 2024, the road will be completed and put into use. The board has also developed plans to ensure the efficient operation of the road when it is completed and put into operation.
Regarding the use of stone gravel materials for the road foundation layer, the agency has worked with stone mines because there are currently many stone mines in Binh Dinh province with relatively large reserves but only a few mines can guarantee the particle composition and quality of the stone.
During the on-site inspection of the entire route, Mr. Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang, Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee, said that the province requires construction units to ensure quality for the project; quality of the project is the top priority, the construction packages may be delayed a bit but the quality must be guaranteed. Especially, the quality of stone during construction must be guaranteed, absolutely no use of poor quality stone. In the near future, the province will request the Department of Construction to inspect the stone quality of the entire road. In addition to this important project, the department must also inspect the quality of stone in other projects in the province.
