The goal of the tournament is not only to create a meaningful annual playground for teams, but also an opportunity to create sustainable values for the community. The 2nd Eximbank Cup Tournament will officially kick off this weekend at Binh Thanh Sport Park in Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City, with the participation of 12 teams promising to bring exciting and high-quality matches.
Mr. Doan Khac Hoang, Director of Eximbank Ho Chi Minh City and Head of the Cup Eximbank Ho Chi Minh City, shared: “Until now, we have only participated in tournaments within the Eximbank system, but this is the first time Eximbank Ho Chi Minh City has organized a tournament and invited teams that are partners, customers… to participate. As for Eximbank Ho Chi Minh City, we have also organized a team in a systematic way and trained regularly in order to aim for high achievements in the upcoming tournament.”

From 8 teams in the 2023 season, there are now the participation of 12 top teams for the 2nd season – 2024, such as Eximbank Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam Oil Corporation – PV Oil, VieON Joint Stock Company, VNG Corporation, Ho Chi Minh City Publishing Company – FaHaSa, Domesco Pharmaceutical Import-Export Joint-Stock Company, New World Saigon Hotel, PV Trans Gas Transportation Joint Stock Company, Saigon Co.op Union of Cooperatives Ho Chi Minh City, Bamboo Capital Group Joint Stock Company, Fico Construction Materials Corporation, promising to bring dramatic and attractive matches.

“The teams will play a round robin to earn points, selecting the top 2 teams in each group to play in the Serie A Quarter-finals, while the remaining 4 teams will compete with the 4 losing teams in the Serie A Quarter-finals in the Serie B Quarter-finals to find the strongest teams advancing to the finals of the two series. “In the spirit of exchange, learning, unity, and creating a playground for the players of the 12 teams, we decided to create such a tournament branch so that each team can participate in exciting and thrilling knockout matches,” said Mr. Doan Khac Hoang. “There will be no team that has to leave in the group stage.” This is definitely a way to create a highlight for this year’s tournament to bring joy to the players who come to the tournament.”
The matches will take place on March 23, 2024 at Binh Thanh Sport Park – 3A Phan Chu Trinh, Binh Thanh District. The audience will witness exciting matches, where professionalism, fair play spirit, and passion for football will be clearly demonstrated not only in each team but also in each player participating in this second season. Let’s immerse ourselves in the lively atmosphere and cheer for the best teams together.
