The Prime Minister mentioned that Vietnam is making efforts in implementing 3 strategic breakthroughs in institutions, infrastructure, and human resources, urging US businesses to enhance cooperation and investment.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh Works with US-ASEAN Business Council and Leaders of US Enterprises

On the morning of March 21, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh held a meeting with the US-ASEAN Business Council and more than 60 leaders of major US enterprises to further concretize the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and the United States.

The Chairman of the US-ASEAN Business Council and the leaders of US enterprises congratulated Vietnam on its impressive economic growth in the past two years, which has been recognized by Fitch Ratings with an upgraded national credit rating to BB+ with a “Stable” outlook.

US businesses emphasized their confidence in investing and expanding their investments in Vietnam, recognizing that Vietnam is becoming an important production center and a crucial element in the global supply chain.

After clarifying certain recommendations and proposals from the enterprises, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated and thanked the valuable and effective contributions of the US-ASEAN Business Council and its member businesses to the development of Vietnam and the bilateral relationship.

During the discussion, the Prime Minister stressed the “3 plus” factors, which are: sharing, understanding, and trusting each other more; committing to collaborate more closely and effectively; and taking more responsibility for each other. These are important prerequisites for implementing specific projects, plans, and programs, benefiting both sides.
