**US “Shark Tank” Investor Behind $2B Portfolio Including VRE, TCB, NVL, Momo, Metropole… Invests in Major Private Hospital**

Warburg Pincus has recently announced its investment in Xuyen A – a major private hospital system in Vietnam. Having been established and led by Doctor Nguyen Van Chau, Xuyen A has become the owner and operator of four general hospitals, with its main facility being located in Cu Chi District, Ho Chi Minh City.

Invested in diverse sectors, it is as one of the largest private equity funds in Vietnam. This new move demonstrates Warburg Pincus’s growing interest in the healthcare sector in Vietnam.

Warburg Pincus’ Managing Director and Head of Southeast Asia Private Equity, Mr. Saurabh Agarwal, said that the fund believes that the private healthcare sector in Vietnam has great potential for significant growth. Through this deal, Xuyen A simultaneously announced its plan to establish a new cancer center at its main facility in Ho Chi Minh City.
