Mercedes-Benz E-Class Spotted Testing in Vietnam
The next-generation Mercedes-Benz E-Class (W214) was recently spotted at an emissions testing center in Hanoi. Based on the exterior design, the car spotted in Vietnam appears to be very similar to the top-spec E 350e AMG (Plug-in Hybrid) model currently on sale in Thailand.

The Mercedes-Benz E 350e AMG in Thailand features an AMG body kit with sporty details such as a front bumper with large air intakes, although these are purely for aesthetic purposes. The front grille has a single horizontal slat and the car rides on 20-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels. The Digital Light headlights are also likely to be retained when the car arrives in Vietnam.
Mercedes-Benz Vietnam (MBV) has yet to announce any launch plans or reveal the specifications of the 2024 E-Class. Meanwhile, its direct rival, the BMW 5-Series, is expected to arrive in Vietnam in the middle of this year.
In recent times, MBV has been offering attractive price incentives on various models, including the E-Class. Therefore, it is possible that the 2024 version will be introduced to Vietnamese consumers soon.

What’s New in the Mercedes-Benz E-Class?Â
The new-generation 2024 E-Class has a more rounded shape, similar to its bigger sibling, the S-Class. The grille now features an illuminated LED strip that surrounds the border and can glow at night. The taillights have a unique design with the brand’s logo, making the car easily recognizable from afar, especially at night.
Inside, the 2024 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is significantly different from the previous generation. In Thailand, the E 350e features the Superscreen display on the dashboard, which consists of a 14.4-inch main screen and a 12.3-inch screen on the passenger side. It is unclear if the E-Class 2024 sold in Vietnam will offer this feature.
Compared to the Hyperscreen display found in some electric Mercedes models, the Superscreen has a smaller surface area because the speedometer is separate and not integrated under the same glass as the other two screens. However, this Superscreen setup is still superior to that of the new-generation BMW 5-Series and even surpasses the S-Class, which is the flagship sedan model from Mercedes.
