Vietnamese electric vehicle company Pega Vietnam recently launched its new electric motorcycle model, the Pega eSmart AI. At the launch event, Mr. Doan Linh, Chairman and General Director of Pega Vietnam, proudly stated: “Pega eSmart AI is a product made by Vietnamese people, a source of pride for the minds and hands of 100% Vietnamese people.”
Notably, the CEO did not hold back in his praise for the new model. He assessed that it is a breakthrough product in the automotive industry for 2024. At the same time, in his view, with the exception of its brand, which is somewhat less competitive than its long-standing rivals in the market, no other product can compare to Pega’s product in its price range. So what sets this electric vehicle apart from its competitors in the market?
According to information released by Pega, the vehicle’s overall dimensions are 2.230 x 750 x 1.150mm in length, width, and height, respectively. The seat height is 780mm, and the vehicle and battery weight 125kg. The vehicle has a payload of 250kg.
The vehicle’s notable features include: full LED lighting system, convenient navigation map; keyless vehicle unlocking; vehicle management via mobile phone software, absolute anti-theft vehicle locking from a distance.
The highlight of the Pega eSmart AI is its line of smart electric motorcycles featuring a virtual assistant and a touch screen, the first in the world. You can find directions and navigate conveniently right on the screen, without having to hold your phone in your hand. The intuitive Google map system helps you get to your destination in the shortest possible time. The multifunctional virtual assistant also reminds you to charge your vehicle, warns of bad weather, and provides maximum assistance to the driver. Supports texting and calling directly on the vehicle using voice commands, without using your phone.
In addition, the Pega eSmart AI can also watch movies, listen to music, and enjoy multimedia entertainment; intelligent safety warnings, notify relatives in emergency situations, remote anti-theft, unlock the vehicle using a password.
The Pega eSmart AI is equipped with the latest generation of motors with PMSM technology, a type of permanent magnet synchronous motor made from rare earth materials. This technology has been applied to high-performance vehicles and devices such as Tesla electric vehicles, Chevy Bolt, Nissan Leaf and other electric vehicles.
This technology will help the Pega eSmart AI electric motorcycle achieve maximum performance and stable operation, while effectively saving energy. Pega eSmart AI is IP67 water resistant and can wade in water depths of 0.5 meters.
The power of the Pega eSmart AI is a 42Ah lithium battery with a maximum capacity of 4,000W, a maximum torque of 140 Nm, and a top speed of 100km/h. The vehicle has 2 options for customers: a 110km/charge version and a 160km/charge version. The fast charging technology takes only 4 hours and each full charge costs only 3 units of electricity, equivalent to 5,000 VND.
In terms of selling price, the 110km version is priced at 42 million VND, while the 160km version is currently being sold at 50 million VND.
Pega aims to sell 1,000 vehicles per month. Although this is not a large number, according to Mr. Doan Linh, for a small car company like Page, with only a few dozen employees, achieving this result will require a lot of effort.
