Bien Hoa, Dong Nai

Once a backward agricultural province, Dong Nai has become an industrial province and a leader in economic development after 49 years of national unification.

Currently, the province’s GRDP is nearly 10 billion USD. However, Dong Nai aims to “accelerate” to become one of the three largest economic centers in Vietnam in nearly 7 years.
To achieve this goal, the province has proposed many solutions to attract domestic and foreign investment, mobilize investment resources for development, and quickly implement infrastructure and transportation projects connecting the province, the Southeast region, and other economic regions.
The provincial government leader said that Dong Nai has many opportunities to become a leading center for regional connectivity, creating, and developing three main economic axes of the Southern region: the Southeast, the Southwest, and the coastal economic corridor.
Specifically, Dong Nai will focus on improving the investment and business environment, facilitating businesses, investors, and workers. Dong Nai will become an attractive, safe destination for investors.
Currently, in the province’s economic development structure, industry – construction accounts for nearly 60%, trade – services about 32%, and agriculture more than 8%. During the development process, Dong Nai always takes people as the center to promote people’s ownership, increase productivity, and innovate effectively to improve the quality of life, the environment, and social welfare.
The province will always take the lead in the digital economy, sharing economy, green economy, and circular economy to ensure green growth and sustainable development.
When the Provincial Planning for 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, is approved by the Government, many domestic and foreign investors will participate in the rapid implementation of projects in Dong Nai to prepare for Long Thanh International Airport (the Airport) and the infrastructure and transportation projects to be put into operation.

With its “position” as the largest investment project in the country to date, Long Thanh Airport is expected to create a great impetus for Dong Nai to accelerate its development.

In addition, the province’s development momentum will be enhanced with a network of expressways, ring roads, and railways that have been and will be invested in construction.
