According to the pre-feasibility study project, the Hong Ha Bridge is 17.5m wide (cross-section) but was later increased to 24.5m to accommodate 4 motorized lanes, with one lane on each side designated for motorbikes and slow-moving vehicles.

According to the planning of the Hanoi People’s Committee, the north side of the bridge is located in Van Khe commune, Me Linh district; the south side is in Hong Ha commune, Dan Phuong district.

The bridge intersects with Hong Ha Street, passing through Gia Le Pagoda, and is situated between Lien Hong Secondary School and Bong Lai village (Dan Phuong district).

After its completion, the Hong Ha Bridge is expected to play a vital role in connecting traffic between Dan Phuong district and Me Linh district, reducing traffic density on Thang Long Bridge.
