Member of the Politburo, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Standing Committee Tran Thanh Man

On 05/02/2024, the General Secretary of the National Assembly issued Notice No. 3568/TB-TTKQH announcing the opinion of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly on the assignment of the direction of activities of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly and the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
Accordingly, by the Standing Committee of the National Assembly assigned Mr. Tran Thanh Man, Member of the Politburo, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly to direct the activities of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly and the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam until the position of the Chairman of the XV National Assembly is filled according to the regulations.
Mr. Tran Thanh Man is 62 years old, from Hau Giang; PhD in Economics. He is an alternate member of the 10th tenure, a member of the Central Committee of the Party for three tenures 11-13; Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party for the 12th tenure; Member of the Politburo for the 13th tenure; Deputy of the National Assembly for three tenures 13-15.
Before being elected as Vice Chairman of the National Assembly in April 2021, Mr. Man had served as Chairman of Can Tho City People’s Committee, Secretary of Can Tho City Party Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
