Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse Takes a Stand on Ethereum and XRP at Las Vegas Event
Fox Business crypto reporter Eleanor Terrett detailed the remarks of Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse at the “Future of Digital Assets” conference.
According to Terrett, the Ripple CEO stated that Ethereum is not a security and, by extension, neither is XRP. Garlinghouse asserted that the SEC was “dead wrong” and called SEC Chair Gary Gensler “a partisan hack.”
The SEC has maintained that all crypto assets other than Bitcoin are securities and must be registered with the SEC.
In a tweet, Garlinghouse expressed excitement about the increasing number of XRP community events taking place this year, including XRP Las Vegas and XRPL Apex, as well as the upcoming XRP Gold Coast event in March.
Garlinghouse also cheered on the growth prospects for projects building on the XRP Ledger.
