Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department Enforces Tax Collection from Saigon One Tower’s Investor

Saigon One Tower has been suspended since 2011

Ho Chi Minh City’s Department of Taxation has just issued a decision to enforce tax collection against Saigon One Tower Joint Stock Company, headquartered on the 12th floor, No. 34 Ton Duc Thang Street, Nguyen Thai Binh Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.

The company is being enforced by the measure of suspending the use of invoices for 1 year, from April 23, 2024 to April 23, 2025, for owing VND 29.9 billion in taxes and having exceeded the 90-day grace period from the due date.

At the same time, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Taxation has also issued an announcement on the suspension of the use of invoices by Saigon One Tower Company. If after April 23, this company uses invoices, it will be illegal.

Saigon One Tower Company is known as the original investor of Saigon One Tower with a total investment of about VND 5,000 billion. This project is located on the “golden land” corner of Ham Nghi – Ton Duc Thang – Vo Van Kiet streets, District 1, HCMC, started construction in 2007, completed the shell but since 2011 to date, has stopped construction.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Taxation has also just announced information on enterprises with tax debts in the first quarter of 2024. In particular, 278 enterprises owe taxes with a total amount of over VND 3,842 billion.

Topping the list of tax debtors is Xuyen Viet Oil Transport and Tourism Trading Co., Ltd., owing nearly VND 1,679 billion. Next, 2 enterprises with a tax debt of over VND 100 billion include Real Estate Development and Trading Joint Stock Company and S.W.P Southwest Petroleum Co., Ltd.

8 enterprises with tax debts of over VND 50 billion to under VND 100 billion. 33 enterprises with tax debts of over VND 10 billion to under VND 50 billion; 109 enterprises with tax debts of over VND 1 billion to under VND 10 billion, and the remaining enterprises owe less than VND 1 billion in taxes…
