The Next Gen program’s opening event, held in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, as well as online, was met with an enthusiastic response from nearly 2,000 customers and their families. The Next Gen program is exclusively designed for children aged 12-15 from Techcombank Private and Techcombank Priority member families. Following a strategic partnership with VinUni University, the Next Gen program will be implemented from now until August 2024 with a range of exciting activities.

At the opening ceremony, the children of Techcombank Private and Techcombank Priority members had the opportunity to engage in a variety of interesting activities, including a personal financial management workshop, a mini-game for talented financial managers, and an introduction to online learning on the Next Gen Edu app.

The children actively participated in the workshop, gaining valuable knowledge about personal financial management.

Ms. Hai Yen, a Techcombank Private customer with two children attending the opening event, shared her thoughts: “My family has been VIP members at other banks, but none of them have shown such deep care for the next generation as Techcombank. I highly appreciate the purpose and organization of the Next Gen program, which not only provides educational workshops but also creates a summer playground for children to connect, develop relationships, and grow. I would like to express my gratitude to Techcombank for creating this creative and knowledge-filled playground, allowing my family to spend more quality time together through this meaningful and humane program.”

The enthusiastic participation of the young attendees throughout the opening ceremony marked the initial success of the Next Gen program, addressing the practical needs of teenage youth.

One of the participants, Nguyen Phuc An Nhan, shared her emotions: “I am very happy and excited to be a part of this event, as I got to engage in various activities and gain valuable knowledge about personal financial management and how to use money wisely.”

The children’s active engagement and participation in the activities made the opening ceremony of the Next Gen program a memorable and energetic event, setting the stage for their upcoming journey of exploration with Techcombank.

The children’s eager participation reflected their interest in the program and their desire for further exploration.

“After the opening ceremony, I feel motivated to continue engaging with the program’s content and gaining access to the knowledge I’ve been curious about,” shared Do Van Minh Thu from Phu Nhuan District, Ho Chi Minh City. “I hope the teachers will continue to share their valuable insights with teenagers like me.”

By participating in the Next Gen program, children of Techcombank Private and Techcombank Priority members, aged 12-15, will receive a combination of in-depth financial management knowledge and practical, age-appropriate applications. Some of the children in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City will have the opportunity to experience ‘A Day as a Banker’ at Techcombank, ‘A Day as a VinUni Student’, and take part in personal development programs with experienced mentors from VinUni. They will also have the chance to interact with leading enterprises in the fields of finance and education. Through the diverse program, which includes online courses, workshops, and mentorship, the participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of financial management, personal development, and the value of life.

The program aims to provide children with valuable knowledge and experiences to help them develop essential skills for their future.

Ms. Nguyen Van Linh, Deputy Director of Techcombank’s Retail Banking Division, shared her thoughts: “With the launch of the Next Gen program this year, we aim to deliver world-class training programs in collaboration with VinUni. The program allows parents to accompany their children on their journey and equips young people with early financial knowledge and practical experiences. With guidance from VinUni’s lecturers and Techcombank’s leading experts, the participants will have a solid foundation for their future endeavors. Additionally, this year, we are focusing on one of our core values, self-development, and the Next Gen program further demonstrates our commitment to fostering the growth of the younger generation.”

From June 15 to July 7, 2024, the children will begin their online learning journey through the Next Gen Edu app, covering four modules: Module 1 – Money and Transactions; Module 2 – Financial Planning and Management; Module 3 – Investment Risks and Benefits; and Module 4 – Financial Context.

Upon completing the online courses on the Next Gen Edu app, the top 50 outstanding participants will be selected to take part in a personal finance creativity contest, culminating in a 3-day, 2-night finale event in Nha Trang in August.
