Recently, shocking images of a roasted duck and pig knuckle restaurant in Mao Khe Ward, Dong Trieu Town, Quang Ninh Province, have been circulating online. The restaurant’s unsanitary practices and food storage methods have caused public outrage. The photos show dozens of ducks and pig knuckles soaked in dirty plastic containers placed right next to a toilet. Maggot larvae were even spotted on some parts of the ducks.

Local authorities promptly coordinated with Dong Trieu Town’s functional forces to inspect and verify the information. It was found that the roasted duck and pig knuckle stall was only a small sidewalk business. Mr. Vu Duc Quynh, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Mao Khe Ward, stated that the images of the plastic containers with ducks and pig knuckles needed further clarification.
According to Mr. Quynh, this incident arose from a family conflict, leading to a vengeful “expose” by a relative.
The Dong Trieu Town Police also confirmed this information. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son, Chief of Dong Trieu Town Police, told Vietnamnet that the issue stemmed from a conflict between the restaurant owner and his sister-in-law. The owner had reported his sister-in-law to the police for gambling and drug use, which led to a dispute between them. Angered by this, the sister-in-law decided to take revenge by posting the “expose” online.
The authorities are currently verifying the information and identifying the individuals involved to handle the case according to regulations.
