The Watch7’s case is crafted from Armor Aluminum and comes in three colors: military green, silver, and cream. In contrast, the Watch7 Ultra utilizes tougher Grade 4 titanium and offers three color options: titanium gray, titanium white, and titanium silver. Notably, the Ultra model meets military standards for durability, water, and dust resistance, rated at 10ATM. It can operate within a temperature range of -20℃ to 55℃ and at altitudes from -500m to 9,000m above sea level.

The Galaxy Watch7 retains the design of the Watch6 but introduces new strap options.

The Watch Ultra showcases a distinct style reminiscent of the early Galaxy Gear watches.

Users have the freedom to customize their watch with a variety of strap materials, designs, and colors. However, it’s important to note that the Watch Ultra features a unique strap attachment mechanism, making it incompatible with straps from previous generations.

Samsung continues to expand its range of straps with various designs, colors, and materials. However, the Watch Ultra will have its own dedicated straps, unlike previous models.

3nm Processor, Enhanced Features

Both watches are powered by the new Exynos 3nm chip with five cores and 32GB of internal storage. This results in improved performance and significant battery life enhancements, offering up to 100 hours of usage in power-saving mode. Additionally, the watches support dual-frequency GPS (L1 and L5), enhancing outdoor activity tracking accuracy by 20% for activities like cycling and running.

Samsung has upgraded its BioActive sensor system with 13 dedicated LEDs, tripling the accuracy for sleep and workout tracking. The software has also been enhanced with features like multi-workout tracking, training progress management, power measurement for cycling, and energy scoring.

The enhanced sensor accuracy is complemented by improved software and new health and fitness tracking features.

Additionally, two unique advanced features are the ability to detect Sleep Apnea (sleep-disordered breathing) and track AGEs (Advanced Glycation End Products). Both features offer valuable insights for individuals who prioritize their health and well-being.

The AGE tracking feature provides a deeper understanding of one’s health.

The Galaxy Watch7 is equipped with a 300mAh battery for the 40mm model and a 425mAh battery for the 44mm model. On the other hand, the Watch Ultra boasts a substantial 590mAh battery, ensuring extended usage without frequent charging.

Connectivity and New Features

Both watches offer Bluetooth and Bluetooth + LTE variants, providing flexibility in connectivity options. Notably, the Watch Ultra introduces three physical buttons: Back, Home, and Quick Button, enhancing usability and convenience.

The new Quick Button simplifies various tasks and is exclusive to the Watch7 Ultra.

The Quick Button not only provides quick access to the menu and workout pause functions but also activates a rescue siren with a volume of up to 85dB, audible up to 180 meters away.

The new Double Pinch feature allows users to interact with the watch without touching the screen. For example, users can stop the timer, answer calls, take remote photos, or control music playback with a simple pinch gesture. The Samsung Find feature also assists users in managing and locating their devices within the expansive Samsung Galaxy ecosystem.
